WATER/WASTEWATER SYSTEMS

Wastewater Services:

  • Wastewater Treatment Plant Design: Headworks, trickling filters, and activated sludge plants, including advanced treatment processes for nitrogen and phosphorus reduction.
  • Lift Station Design & Rehabilitation: Collection system pump stations, treatment plant main lift stations, and effluent lift stations utilizing a variety of pumping technologies.
  • Lagoon Systems & Upgrades: Design and rehabilitation of stabilization ponds and lagoon treatment systems, including aerated lagoons, facultative lagoons, and polishing ponds.   • Water Treatment Plant Design: Design of new and rehabilitation of water treatment plants for iron & manganese removal, softening, and residuals handling.
  • Water Distribution Systems: Modeling of water distribution systems for pressure, fire flow, and water age, along with design and construction of water distribution piping systems.
  • Well & Booster Pump Station Design: Design and modifications of well pumps, booster pump stations, and associated chemical feed systems.
  • Ground and Elevated Storage Tank Design: New and rehabilitation of finished water storage tanks for new coatings and bringing into compliance with current standards.

Lance Aldrich, PE

Born and raised understanding Iowa's unique water challenges, Lance obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University. Over his extensive career, he has specialized in the development and rehabilitation of wastewater treatment plants and water supply systems throughout Iowa and the Midwest. His project experience encompasses comprehensive municipal infrastructure solutions, from treatment plant design and lift station rehabilitation to water distribution systems and regulatory compliance. As a research and teaching assistant at Texas A&M, he contributed to advances in environmental engineering. Throughout his career, Lance has demonstrated a commitment to innovation and sustainable practices that benefit communities.
