Architectural Designer/Architectural Technician

Beck Engineering Inc. (BEI) is a growing firm with offices in Brandon, Cherokee, Clive, Orange City, Sheldon, and Spirit Lake. Currently, BEI has openings for both Architectural Designers and Architectural Technicians.
In these full-time roles, team members use BIM 360 and Revit to develop construction documents, create 3D models, and prepare architectural drawings. In addition, they collaborate with project teams and assist with coordinating design documentation. Throughout the process, these positions work closely with our architecture team to support projects from conceptual design through construction documentation.

Construction Inspector/Administrator
Spirit Lake, Iowa
Beck Engineering Inc. (BEI) is a growing firm with offices in Brandon, Cherokee, Clive, Orange City, Sheldon, and Spirit Lake. Currently, BEI has an opening for a Construction Inspector / Administrator.
In this full-time role, team members assist with civil design plans and technical drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. In addition, the position includes performing construction site inspections to verify adherence to approved plans and specifications. Throughout each project phase, this role coordinates closely with municipalities and contractors to support successful delivery.
As part of the process, the Construction Inspector / Administrator prepares engineering documents related to grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway improvements. At the same time, the role works closely with our civil engineering team to support infrastructure and site development projects from initial design through construction closeout.

Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect-in-Training

Beck Engineering Inc. (BEI) is a growing, multi-disciplinary firm with offices in Brandon, Cherokee, Clive, Orange City, Sheldon, and Spirit Lake. Currently, BEI is seeking a Landscape Designer / Landscape Architect-in-Training to support our landscape architecture team across a wide range of project types.
In this full-time role, team members assist with landscape design concepts, 3D modeling and renderings, cost estimates, and construction documents. In addition, the position involves close collaboration with our civil engineering, surveying, and architecture teams, as well as coordination with outside consultants. Through this teamwork, projects benefit from integrated and well-coordinated design solutions.
As part of the design process, the role uses AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Excel to develop renderings, presentations, planting plans, site amenities, and detailed construction documents. Throughout each phase, the position supports landscape architecture projects from concept design and master planning through construction administration and site inspections. At the same time, the work helps ensure designs align with zoning requirements, environmental regulations, accessibility standards, and client goals.

Beck Engineering, Inc. (BEI) has an immediate opening for a Professional Engineer at our Clive, Iowa location. Currently, we are seeking a qualified candidate with a four-year civil engineering or related degree.
In addition, applicants should hold a Professional Engineering license in the State of Iowa or be able to obtain licensure within six months. In this role, the Professional Engineer supports client relations, leads project teams, and oversees the preparation of plans and specifications. At the same time, responsibilities include construction inspections, contract administration, and other general civil engineering duties.

In this full-time role, candidates should hold a Professional Land Surveying license in the State of Iowa or be able to obtain licensure within six months. As part of the position, responsibilities include overseeing land surveying operations for the firm. Specifically, this work involves boundary surveys, topographic surveys, subdivision plats, FEMA floodplain work, and related survey services.
Throughout each project, the Professional Land Surveyor works closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality deliverables. At the same time, the role supports efficient project coordination and client communication.
