Project Description

This project was designed in 2013 and built in 2014.  The project involved the reconstruction of 15th Street from Hudson Avenue to Hill Avenue in the City of Spirit Lake.  The project had a construction cost of $2.34 million and was partially funded through a $1,040,000 federal highway grant.  The project involved removal of the existing pavement, construction of a new storm sewer system, construction of new water main, construction of new sanitary sewer services, construction of curb and gutter, construction of subdrain, grading, mainline paving, construction of new sidewalks, and other related items of work.  The project involved gaining several easements and communication/coordination with business and property owners. This was vital for the success of this project.
