This project was completed in 2007 and consisted of construction of 2 bioretention cells in one of Wahpeton’s City parks (the former Back Porch Restaurant property).  The bioretention cells cool, treat, slow down and filter runoff from a 20 acre watershed from the city park and an existing field west of Highway 86 in Wahpeton.  The stormwater is now treated prior to entering West Okoboji Lake.
